Recently, I flew on a domestic flight journey from Bangkok to Phuket with VietJet, a reputable low-cost airline company founded in Vietnam.
Upon arriving at the airport, we were greeted with an effortless check-in process. Our bags were checked in with ease and we were reminded that check baggage is an additional cost that can be purchased prior to arriving at the airport or when booking your initial flight. This was a convenient feature for those who wanted to save a little extra on their flight expenses.
We then proceeded to our gate for boarding the flight and our initial impressions were quite positive. The seats were leather, and they appeared clean and well-maintained with no rips or tears. The legroom was a little tight, but this is something that is quite common with most low-cost carrier flights.
One aspect of the flight that I would like to highlight is that the airline does not include inflight entertainment. This means that if you enjoy watching movies or TV shows on flights, it would be best to bring your own device as entertainment options are not provided by the airline. However, the airline does offer light meals that could be purchased during the flight, and it looked like there were a lot of options available to choose from

Another aspect that impressed us was the cleanliness and upkeep of the lavatories. They were well-maintained and provided a pleasant surprise. This was a refreshing change from some of the flights I’ve taken in the past where the lavatories were not always kept in the best condition.
We had no delays on this flight, and both departure and arrival were on schedule. Once we arrived, it was a very short walk from our gate to baggage collection, making the process of exiting the airport a breeze.
Overall, this was a very good and affordable flight, and I would gladly fly with Vietjet again. The airline exceeded our expectations and provided a comfortable and efficient travel experience. If you’re in search of a low-cost airline option for your next domestic flight in Vietnam, Vietjet is definitely worth considering. Their combination of affordability and quality is hard to beat.
