Cinque Terre Day Trip from Florence
Would you believe Cinque Terre can be a day trip from Florence? The drive from Florence alone would be a memorable one as you drive through the picturesque regions, and when you arrive, you’ll be greeted by a colourful village on a cliffside. The best and most convenient way to do this would be on an organised tour.
Depending on your tour, once you arrive, you can enjoy a boat ride or visit Monterosso, Vernazza, and Riomaggiore or Manarola, which all have their own charm and colourful buildings.
Organised tours will take you through the narrow streets, show you local shops, and enjoy an Italian lunch of fresh seafood while taking in the waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

Pisa and Lucca Day Trip from Florence
If history and culture are your things, you can’t skip a day trip to Pisa and Lucca. Pisa is famous for its iconic Leaning Tower, where you have to snap a mandatory picture with the leaning tower.
Lucca is a well-preserved town within its Renaissance walls, like a living museum! Renting a bike and cycling along the walls offers panoramic views of the city and its charming streets below.
Luca and Pisa can be easily done in a stress-free way by taking an organised tour. These tours will take you to the cathedral, wandering through hidden alleys, and more! Alternatively, it can be easily accessed by hiring a car or private tour.
Vespa Tour in Tuscan Hills Day Tour from Florence
I think this might be one of my favourite activities that I did in Florence. For a truly authentic Tuscan experience, take a guided tour of the rolling hills right around Florence. The tour I did gave us a full safety rundown on riding a Vespa, and the drives were slow so we could enjoy Piazzale Michelangelo and the Church of San Miniato al Monte.
The highlight of the tour was a traditional Italian meal at a countryside estate we rode to, which was surrounded by vineyards. We enjoyed homemade pasta and a glass of local wine (only one as we were driving).

Chianti Wine Tasting Day Tour from Florence
No visit to Tuscany is complete without visiting one of their world-renowned wineries, so a tour through the Chianti region is nearly essential. It’s also the perfect way to unwind amid the beauty of the Tuscan countryside. Taking an organised wine tour is the best way to see it without worrying about overindulging and trying to drive.
Most tours will stop at family-run estates so you can visit their wine cellars for a cellar plus you’ll get to try some of their delicious Chianti and other Tuscan wines.
Pisa, San Gimignano, and Siena Day Trip from Florence
Another great day tour from Florence is a full-day tour to Pisa, San Gimignano, and Siena. You’ll get to see the famous Tower of Pisa, the medieval streets of San Gimignano, and the majestic cathedral of Siena! It’s a great tour that gives more of a taste of Italy, especially if you don’t have a lot of time. 👉 Try this tour here.
