Things to Do in Seminyak That Will Make You Want to Stay Forever!

I usually end up in Seminyak for a few nights when I visit Bali and have explored the area many times. Seminyak is one of those places that just ticks all the boxes for me. It’s trendy without being overwhelming, walkable if you stay in the right spot, and packed with beach clubs, boutiques, cafés, and spas. As I love walking on holiday, I find it quite easy to explore on foot.
Whether you’re planning a girls’ trip, a romantic escape, or your first Bali adventure, Seminyak gives you a taste of Bali’s beachside luxury mixed with plenty of cultural and foodie moments. Here’s everything I recommend based on personal experience.

Top Things to Do in Seminyak

Start your day with a walk along Seminyak Beach or Double Six Beach. The waves here are perfect for beginner surfers, and the sunsets? Unreal.

I’ve watched the sky go from gold to purple from a bean bag at La Plancha more times than I can count.

If you only do one thing in Seminyak, make it a beach club day. These spots are where the Bali vibes hit their peak.

My favourites
  • Potato Head – Great for sunset, cocktails, and a relaxing pool scene.
  • Ku De Ta – A little more upscale with amazing food and ocean views.
  • Mrs Sippy – Best for party vibes and a huge diving pool.
  • La Plancha – Casual bean bags right on the sand, perfect for a chill sunset drink.
TIP: I’d book your sunbed in advance here so you don’t miss out on the good spots.

This road is packed with designer boutiques, boho stores, and stylish homeware shops. You can spend hours wandering and café-hopping along the way.
Right off the main strip, these spots are perfect for picking up souvenirs and gifts. Think dreamcatchers, sarongs, woven bags, and cute jewellery.
One of the best things about Bali is how affordable luxury can be. I usually book a 90-minute Balinese massage at Bodyworks or Prana Spa. It’s heaven after a long flight or a few days of exploring.

Kynd Community is the most Instagrammed café for a reason, but Sisterfields, Revolver, and Café Organic are also amazing. Seminyak’s food scene is just next level.
One of the most fun things I’ve done in Bali was a cooking class where we visited the market, learned traditional recipes, and got to eat everything at the end.

Nyaman Gallery and Purpa Fine Art Gallery are both fantastic for modern Balinese and Indonesian art. Worth popping into if you love browsing creative spaces.
There are plenty of rooftop yoga studios and even beach bootcamps for travellers who want to keep moving while on holiday.

Best Day Trips from Seminyak

Start early (like 2 AM early!) and hike to the summit of Mount Batur for sunrise. The views are 100% worth it.

Take a fast boat to Nusa Penida and explore iconic spots like Kelingking Beach and Angel’s Billabong. It’s a long day but epic.

One of Bali’s most famous sea temples. It’s especially beautiful at sunset and only about 45 minutes from Seminyak.

Visit Tegalalang Rice Terraces, Tegenungan Waterfall, and experience Bali’s spiritual side in Ubud.
👉 I’d book this Ubud day tour from Seminyak here, it’s the perfect mix of sights.
