Recently, I had the opportunity to travel from Bangkok to Phuket on a domestic flight through Suvarnabhumi Airport. The airport is located roughly an hour’s drive from the Sukhumvit area, where I was staying.
Upon arriving at the airport, the first thing that stood out to me was the large digital screens that made it easy to locate the check-in counters. Despite the airport being busy, it didn’t feel overwhelming as it was large, modern, and light-filled. After checking in and dropping off our luggage, we headed to the domestic departure area where our boarding passes were checked.

Before heading to your gate, you’ll need to have your bags screened. The airport gates have plenty of seating, toilets, and charging stations. Finally, it was time to board our flight to Phuket.
