The atmosphere here is lively yet relaxed enough to suit most visitors in Ljubljana.

Tivoli Park is a beautiful green space in Ljubljana, perfect for those who want to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Staying near Tivoli Park gives you access to scenic trails, picnic spots, and the Tivoli Mansion. It’s also a great base if you’re travelling with kids or just want a peaceful escape from the city centre while still being within a 15-minute walk of the Old Town.

FAQ on Ljubljana

For first-time visitors, the City Center or Old Town is the best choice.

Ljubljana is a better base if you want to explore multiple areas in Slovenia. Lake Bled makes for an excellent day trip from Ljubljana, which is how we saw it.

Two to three days are ideal for exploring Ljubljana, with additional time for day trips.

Yes! Ljubljana is extremely walkable, especially in the Old Town.

Areas near Tivoli Park or Koseze are family-friendly with plenty of green space.

I stayed at Ibis Styles Ljubljana Centre, which was perfect for travellers with a car. It’s close to everything, and they can arrange parking if you let them know in advance.
