Venice

Venice was a dream come true for us. We enjoyed a gondola ride through the serene canals, which was a highlight of our trip and so romantic, right!? The beauty of St. Mark’s Square at sunset was also breathtaking, and we ended our day with a candlelit dinner at a cozy restaurant. The intimate gondola rides, historic architecture, and enchanting ambience make Venice a perfect setting for romance. Right out of a postcard in my opinion!

Lake Como

Lake Como’s scenic views would leave any couple spellbound. While there, take a boat tour around the lake, visit Villa Serbelloni, and sip coffee at a lakeside cafe. The serene lake views, elegant villas, and peaceful atmosphere make Lake Como an ideal romantic escape.

Florence

Florence, in my opinion, is incredibly romantic, especially if you get a chance to watch a sunset at Piazzale Michelangelo. We hired a Vespa and drove along the Tuscan hills and spent hours exploring art museums. These were some of the more romantic things to do in Italy! Every corner of Florence exudes romance. Its blend of art, history, and breathtaking views creates a deeply romantic atmosphere.

Tuscany

Tuscany’s rolling hills covered in vineyards and charming towns are so romantic to be surrounded by. To take the Italian romance up a notch, we did a wine tour in Chianti, explored the picturesque town of Cortona, and stayed in a beautiful countryside villa. Tuscany is the epitome of romantic getaways. The idyllic landscapes, world-class wines, and charming villages make Tuscany a haven for romance.

Exploring the Colosseum, taking an evening stroll around the Trevi Fountain, or even taking a cooking class together are all romantic activities. To elevate the romance, you can head to the quaint streets of Trastevere for a romantic dinner.
