Should you Fly Thai VietJet Air?
Flying domestically in Thailand can be both affordable and comfortable, especially when you choose Thai VietJet Air. When I was in Thailand last, I took a domestic flight between Phuket and Bangkok on Thai VietJet Air’s Airbus 320-214.
This was my first time flying with them, and I was eagerly looking forward to it as I love trying new airlines. I was pleasantly surprised by my experience with this low-cost carrier, and there were definitely some pros and cons that I’ll share in my VietJet Air flight review.

👉 One thing I’ve started doing is pre-booking my airport transfer! It makes such a difference, and it’s a lot cheaper than you would expect. I usually find great options here.
About Thai VietJet Air
Thai VietJet Air is a low-cost airline offering a wide range of domestic flights in Thailand. My journey from Phuket to Bangkok was smooth and enjoyable for their affordable price.
Checked Luggage
Checked luggage is not included in an economy ticket and needs to be purchased separately, which is what I did. I suggest purchasing it when booking your initial flight as it will be the cheapest then.
Seat, Legroom, and Cabin
Once on board, I was impressed by the clean and well-kept interior, featuring leather seats and plenty of overhead luggage space. On this flight, I was seated in the emergency exit row, which provided me with lots of extra legroom on this 1.5-hour flight. I would highly recommend requesting this seat if you are tall or require more legroom.
In-Flight Experience
The airline offered a large selection of meals and merchandise for purchase, making the flight more enjoyable. Thai VietJet Air does not provide in-flight entertainment systems, so if you’re flying with them, I would suggest bringing your own devices loaded with movies, music, or books.
Lavatories
The lavatories on Thai VietJet Air flights were clean and well-maintained. I appreciated the attention to detail that the airline had put into the cleanliness and presentation of the facilities.
👉 Did you know a lot of airports actually allow you to purchase airport lounge passes? It’s such a nice way to start your trip or if you have a long layover. I usually check/pre-book lounge passes here if available.
