It’s a place that’s inspired countless photographers and artists, and once I saw images of it, I knew I had to witness its splendor in person.
Organising the Journey
To experience the Upper Antelope Slot Canyon, we wisely chose to book a guided tour through Antelope Canyon Tours, which cost us $473.36 for two people. It’s essential to note that this canyon can only be explored through organised tours due to the risk of flash flooding. Safety first!
Upon arriving at the tour’s check-in area, we filled out a brief form and patiently awaited the start of our adventure. The facilities are quite basic, so I’d recommend using the restroom before your tour. Also, keep in mind that bags are not allowed; you can only bring a water bottle, so we left all our belongings in our car.

With anticipation building, we boarded a rugged truck that would take us to the canyon entrance. The ride was bumpy, but it added a sense of adventure to the journey. The drive lasted about 15 minutes, and we couldn’t wait to see what awaited us.

The entire walk through the Upper Antelope Slot Canyon took us roughly 30 minutes, and it was a relatively easy stroll. There were no steps to navigate or rocks to climb over, making it accessible to a wide range of visitors.
